Blepharoplasty Surgery (Eyelift) in Colorado

Blepharoplasty guide book for patients written by Dr Thiagarajah

Why Is a blepharoplasty done?

Blepharoplasty is a procedure that is done to remove the skin and excess fat from the upper or lower eyelids. Blepharoplasty is an outpatient procedure that takes 30-45 minutes in the upper eyelids and one hour in the lower eyelids in an outpatient setting. Dr Thiagarajah is an authority in blepharoplasty and has extensively written about blepharoplasty.

A blepharoplasty is done to improve the appearance or function of the eyelids. It is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin, fat, or muscle from the upper or lower eyelids. The main reasons for performing a blepharoplasty include:

  1. Cosmetic Reasons: To create a more youthful and refreshed appearance by reducing drooping eyelids, puffiness, and bags under the eyes.

  2. Functional Reasons: When excess skin on the upper eyelid hangs down far enough to impair vision, a blepharoplasty can help improve sight and comfort.

In summary, blepharoplasty is done either to enhance facial aesthetics or to correct vision problems caused by sagging eyelid tissue.

Why should I get my blepharoplasty or cosmetic eyelid surgery with Dr Thiagarajah?
