There are a couple important things to remember when getting any  filler:

 

1. If you take a blood thinner such as aspirin it is better to hold off blood thinners to reduce bruising 

 

2. Filler in the tear trough should be done by a specialist who understands eyelid anatomy. Inexperienced filler injection around the eyes carries risks of not only looking bad but also of vision loss and skin necrosis

 

3. The downtime for filler is 24-48 hours. 

 

4. When scheduling a filler appointment make sure to alert our staff so they can schedule the adequate amount of time. Dr Thiagarajah takes time with each patient to determine the best filler and volume addition that they need.
